Hi, I am setting up a network in Kenya. It will be an adult site (gay/lesbian) and I want to charge a membership fee. I would like to know

1. Whether I can set the payment to be in Kenya Shilings (KSh)

2. Whether I can set up an offline payment system as no-one in Kenya has OPaypal accounts (or any other payment system)

I have considered simply setting the registration to moderator approved and only approving when the payment is made.

For this to work I would like to edit the sign-up email to provide the payment details. How to do that?

The biggest problem with doing it this way is that I know I will get lost re subscriptions. I will charge annually but I will almost certainly lose track of membership expiration.

Has anyone else considered these issues? What solutions have you come up with?

You could set the registration to moderator approved and only approving when the payment is made, or you could offer payment in say $ US and then ALSO enter text there saying to do x, y and z if they wish to pay in KSh. Either way, members who are yet to pay will appear as 'Payment Pending' in the admin center, and you can then approve them when you receive payment, whatever method they choose to use.

Using the member manager, you can also see the date joined, which should give a good indication of the date when payment is due again.
