I watched the tutorial that Alex did on the member billing and
also
read the manual - great i thought, at long last i'll recoup some
of my
outlay and i duly paid for it at the start of October
before springing it on my members i decided to make a few
changes
on the network and upload some new stuff for them to see why it
would
be worth their while subscribing in future even though quite a
few had
already stated that i should be charging and they would be
willing to pay.
A few weeks down the line i thought i would implement it and also
thought
that any bugs would have been ironed out as i was fairly sure
given my past
experiences that there would be some before it worked even though
it was stated
that it was all set up and good to go in the video tutorial and
manual
Last Thursday i started to digest all the manyfold instructions
and joined
click and buy with ny owners account and had it verified
it was rather disappointing to learn that all the members would
also have to
fill in all manner of personal details and create a C&B
accounht before they
could be billed and also have TWO amounts debited from their bank
account
to ensure their account was ok - none of this was stated in the
tutorial / manual
and i know that this will be rather off-putting for a lot of
people
It was with dismay but no great surprise that after many hours of
carefully
setting it all up to find that it was not working when i
attempted to set up a
test acount as a new member or as an existing one wanting to
upgrade
I was unsure as to why but one reason may have been that my
custom URL
had somehow been corrupted to contain a hyphen in the admin
panel
and i had entered exactly what i was told to
next i tried to do it with the URL's added hyphen missing and
tested that
with still the same result and i priceeded to try every possible
combo
of filling in the fields that i could before contacting
support
Finally by saturday it was plain that it would not work no matter
what
had been entered into it
i was getting redirects to a blank page with some settings
with other setting i was being sent to C&B to join with the
added problem
that it remembered my previous admin info & thinking this may
be part
of the problem started to do it all again on a different PC and
finally managed
to create a secondary account with a different card to my admin
one
with trepidation i gave it one last go and once again got error
messages
Only after all this did i contact support on saturday but i knew
that apart
from a generic reply nothing would be done over the weekend as i
have
spent many wasted weekends in the past with support but at least
i had
tried everything so on monday when i had to recontact support i
could
answer any opening question fired at me saying had i tried this
that and the other
All i got was a reply from henry saying he would pass it on to
his supervisor
presumably this was Alex Halliday ?
anyway i had to wait uintil wednesday to get aterse email asking
for my log in
details on C&B and that someone would look into it
i was rather wary of doing this but it is sych a relief to
finally get a response
that you feel inclined to gamble and trust them
a day and a half later after giving this info i am still to hear
anything back
so i didn't know if what was happening and as i had to leave the
subscription
option open so whoever was testing could utilise it at the same
time some
of my members have tried to subscribe and everyone has
failed
i am writing this because i am just sitting around waiting for
some kind
of progress report and i think this tale of woe should be out
there as
a record of how long this matter takes to be resolved
If during the tutorial Alex had actually tried to PAY for the
example
network he used to demo the proceedure 6 weeks ago when it was
done
perhaps i wouldn't have to be writing this and wondering what on
earth
i am paying for
All i have done so far in my 4 months on here is pay-pay-pay and
spend
counbtless days and weeks awaiting responses to the many faults
that
i have experienced on here - to be fair most have been sorted out
but
only usually after a torrent of emails having to exp[lain things
many times over
a human voice would help but i have been refused the chance to
talk
to someone despite them knowing the issues i point out would be
solved
far faster than taking their advice when they say email support
and we will
get on the case - fast
id anyone out there has had similar [problems can you please post
any
resolutions workarounds you found or advice you were given (
unlikely )
by support as i am jst about at the end of my tehter with the
unprofessional way
all this is run

I am considering a membership paid option as well. In fact, it is
THE reason I chose this site in the first place; it is a "must"
for my purposes. I'd be interested in a note if and when your
problems have been successfully addressed, Leslie. I'd much
rather begin anew somewhere that works than lose members due to a
kludgey system with poor support. (I've not used the support
system here yet, so I'm only responding to your
reflections.)
Thanks for the" heads up"

hi lesley,
so sorry to what is happening to you.
I have run into some small problems with my site just as
everybody here but i must confess that i always have had a good
follow up from the SG team.
When i post a mail to support then i always get a answer back the
same day or atleast within 24hours.
Did you already try the help line(chat)?
If you try that line you'll get direct assistence from
SG........i don't say they get all the answers but atleast there
is a chance that your problem gets solved fast.
Good luck
PS:
i have to confess that i'm waiting for the past 3 days how i can
pay to SG with my paypal account to there paypal account(no
credit card)
