Published by: Henry M on Thursday 12th November 2009 03:11pm
You might have heard that we have a new help system in place, and
perhaps you've already used our new help portal:
Have a Question?
If you've got a problem or a question, then this is the place to go. You'll be asked to fill out some details, along with your message, which will automatically be entered into our ticketing system. We endeavour to answer all tickets within 24 hours, and will always work our hardest to make sure any problems are resolved as soon as possible.
Widget Issues?
If you're having a problem with a widget you've bought, then click this link, select the particular widget, and tell us what's up!
Get Involved!
If you think there's something that will make SocialGO better for you, click the 'Get Involved' link to submit it into our feedback community. Why not comment on a few user-submitted ideas while you're there? Please note that this is not the place to report problems.
What's New?
This link sends you right to the Owners Network, where you'll be able to see all the latest SocialGO updates and features: direct from the team.
Need More Info?
Fancy swotting up on some video tutorials, or catching up on some past Workshops? Click this link to get some helpful tips and tricks on how to make the most of your network.
Need Some Inspiration?
If you want to see some snazzy Featured Networks and check out some of the great communities using SocialGO, then click on this link for instant inspiration!
Anything We've Not Covered Here?
If you want to ask us something that you can't find anywhere else - send us a message and we'll do all we can to give you the information you need.
Please remember that while we will endeavour to answer all enquiries within 24 hours, the process of verifying, sourcing and rectifying specific problems may take some time. We always appreciate your patience and cooperation when dealing with issues or enquiries, and can assure you that we will continue to do our best in serving you as rapidly as we can.
Thanks!
The SocialGO Team.

Facebook Connect - Don't Miss Out!
Published by: Henry M on Thursday 12th November 2009 02:11pm
Say hello to the new Facebook Connect!
We've been ecstatic over the popularity of our recently released Twitter Connect widget - it means that SocialGO network owners are tuning in to the importance of Social Media integration in their communities.
To
follow suit, we've just launched our Facebook
Connect widget. How does Facebook Connect enhance
a Social Network? Facebook reports it’s user base to be over 300
million users, and that connected users create 15-60% more
content on external sites than non connected users. By increasing
traffic, user engagement, and registrations, it can significantly
affect your revenue and increase monetization opportunities.
All it takes is a quick Log-in to Facebook, an Email confirmation, and they're in. It's available in the Widget Store in your Admin Centre now.

First Q&A Workshop A HUGE Success!
Published by: Alex H on Thursday 5th November 2009 07:11pm
I think it is safe to say that our first SocialGO Workshop was a
great success! We will certainly be running another one again very
soon and we will be posting up some follow-up answers and material
on the Owners' blog tomorrow as well as a summary of the topics
covered.
Once again, thanks for everyone who turned up and next time we will work out how to make a bit more structured. :) Thanks to canada.rob for these kind words!

Right....I need some sleep after that!

November Goodies
Published by: Alex H on Monday 2nd November 2009 12:11pm
We have set a fairly ambitious release roadmap for November and
December and here is a sneak peak of 6 of the great new features
and updates coming to SocialGO.
1. Chat Room
A fantastic multi-user chat room where you can
talk with everyone in your network and even spin-off
to your own private chats!
2. API Docs

We are launching a set of documentation for the SocialGO API allowing you to make API calls to your network from any third party application. You can import members, build your own off-site widgets and even sync data with external data sources.
3. Facebook Connect

Much like our Twitter Connect widget, the Facebook Connect widget will allow your members to login directly to your network using their Facebook details.
4. Contact Importer v2

We are working hard on a new contact importer which will allow you to not only Import Webmail Contacts but will also allow you to Invite Social Networking Contacts too! Time for your networks to go viral.... :)
5. Internationalisation

We are working through your networks to complete internationalisation of all the corners of code including emails, error messages, forms and feedback. This is not only good news for our hundreds of non-English networks but also for those of you who with to personalise messages for your network.
5. More AJAX
We are reworking the way that requests and messaging work to make them more responsive. This was a heavily requested feature.
6. New In-Browser Chat
As well as our shiny new chat room, we are hoping to launch a shiny new in-browser chat experience for text-chat among your users. Get ready for your visitor times to explode. More details in the coming weeks.
