Upgrades continue today....

As the traffic continues to grow at an unbelievable pace we are aware that many networks experiancing slow page loads at peak times. We are working on this 24 hours a day, scaling and optimizing the system during BETA to cope with the growth.

During the next day or so we will be adding a new bank of servers and there will be some downtime as the core servers are upgraded.

"slow page loads"? They won't load at all. I've recently made the jump from Ning to Socialgo because after waiting for sometime before doing so, things seem to be running smoothly over here. Now I have members contacting on Ning wanting to know why they can't access the my socialgo network. I understand growth is taking place, but c'mon. Now, I'm reading things may be back to normal in a day or so. This is getting out of hand.

Hey there! We are working hard to improve the situation. We know the speed is bad during peek times and are doing our best. Keep looking for updates as we roll out updates. Thanks

Hi ALex is therte a time scale for this, we set up a new network thia weekend and invited new members, at the moment we cannot sign in.

This is total disaster! I have the same problem as Douceswild and pete46. I understand it's beta but still... It says:

Network temporarily unavailable.
Due to an exceptional number of visitors this network is temporarily unavailable
Please wait a few seconds and then click below to retry your request.
Retry Request

... and it doesn't work for last two hours :(

I have one network that works, and the other doesn't, unless I access directly via it's socialgo url. This is not good for trying to kick off a new service. I appreciate it's BETA but this is now looking like a very poor service to the people who are joining. It's also constantly slow, sometimes the style sheets don't work and the logo isn't displayed. I have items showing needing moderation but clicking on it and it shows none. Many people (Mac, Flock users etc), have problems with entering their date of birth and this makes them go away. Pictures are lost, videos don't play. When is some stability going to be introduced to give us some hope that you are on the right track ?

I'm sure that the SocialGO people are working as hard as they can, no doubt about that.

This is just my 2 cents but the reason why people are so mad, is because that Evil Genius guy over at Widgetlaboratory can't shut his pie hole. Since the day that they had an "agreement" with SocialGO, he prances around as if he was the founder. He promises people this and that without even working at SG! LOL

This is in Beta, it's normal to have all sorts of issues. That's why it's not the time to tell everyone to abandon what is working for them somewhere else to come here, sight unseen!

Like I said, this is just my 2 cents but that Evil Genius guy is doing more harm than good for SG at the present time! :)

@Christina I don't agree with you. I think of any 3-rd party he would know something you do not. If you do not like WL then do not type in widgetlaboratory.com into your web browser. Simple. Effective. Yes?

I admire your loyalty to WL but that doesn't take away the fact that they are running around talking to the public as if THEY developed SocialGO. Yeah we'll do this, yeah we'll do that, yeah come over now everything is nicer here.

How about letting the REAL SocialGO developers and staff do their job and roll out of Beta first? Simple. Effective. Yes? :)

i'm curious as to why you feel this way? Are you upset ning threw you on the curb? Did you get shafted by WL when there widgets got pulled?

I think you are mistaking their excitement to release on a cool platform. They are the connection from ning to SocialGO for so many sites so it totally right on for them to be all SocialGO this and that. They are developing for SocialGO, its not like its Ronald McDonald Shouting out about chicken nuggets. It's relevant for them to talk it up. The more they talk it up the more widgets people will buy. Duh biz 101.

There is more to this story you are not telling us......
