Hi guys, 

We have pushed an additional update today which optimizes the core system but also updates the following: 

• Updates to the member rating system which allows for people to rate videos on your network. 
• The homepage notification XML feed is now compliant. 
• Custom avatars have been improved. To replace our custom avatars with your own, simply upload a photo to the Custom Avatar folder. One or more photos in that folder and none of ours will show. 
• You can now message multiple members using a lovely autocomplete feature. 
• Photos can now be deleted inline.
• The invite friends list has been redesigned with some lovely Ajaxy goodness.

You may have noticed a slow down to the SocialGO service over the weekend, and possibly some sporadic problems uploading and viewing pictures and videos.  This was due to a very large number of new networks being created over the weekend.

As an interim measure we are introducing a few minor limitations to improve the speed of the service whilst we increase our server capacity.  For now you will need to be logged in order to view videos or photos or listen to music. 

We don’t expect this interim change to effect many networks, however if it does effect yours we appreciate your patience.

We will adding additional servers tomorrow morning around 10am GMT to cope with the growth we are experiancing. Downtime will be a maximum of 15 minutes while we reconfigure the load balancer to include the new servers.

From now on you will also be able to get status updates at :

In the event that your network is unavailable, this URL will be there to give you updates so add it to your bookmarks.

We have been busy dealing with feedback from our BETA networks and we are thrilled with the response we have had so far. We are moving into open BETA soon and are working hard to ready outselves for that.

We pushed an update today to the networks which includes :

• A revised forum. One piece of feedback which came from of our owners' was regarding the forum both from an aethetic and functionality point of view. We have spent the past week working on these and have pushed an update to all networks today which will give you new forum functionality.
  
• You can now differentiate between summary and full view in blog posts by pressing the little Page Break icon. It is the last icon in the second row on the blog edit screen.
  
• Notifications now display correctly in Profile and Notification inbox view.
  
• The search engine has been upgraded to include more content types. This will continue to be improved in coming months.
  
• Members now have individual RSS feeds which other members can subscribe to.
  
• The public activity on the homepage is now available an RSS feed on all networks.
• Several tweaks have been made to the network design template. In order to take advantage of this, you will need to login to the admin center and re-submit your design.  (They are not major so this is completley optional)
  
• We now support WMV format video files.
• + 100's of other little tweaks.....
